The Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona is in full swing and the news from the most important brands in the industry are not long in coming. This morning we attended Honor Keynotewhere the Magic VS and Magic5 Pro were introduced, but at the same time xiaomi was showcasing its flagship series for 2023, made up of The Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Litewhom we will meet on this occasion.
Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro
Starting with the screen, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have an AMOLED screen with fingerprint scanner. Both mobiles offer a refresh rate of 120 Hz, maximum brightness of 1900 nits, HDR10 +, Dolby Vision and compatibility with HLG.
Here it is important to note that the normal variant has a 6.36″ flat screen with FHD+ resolution, while the Pro model ups the ante with a 6.73” QHD+ panel and curved edges.
As for the design, the Xiaomi 13 has a square form factor, while the Pro variant has a slim profile. Be that as it may, both phones have a square camera module on the back and are resistant to water and dust, reaching IP68 certification.
In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are equipped with a processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. There’s a VC liquid cooling heat dissipation system on board to keep performance on point at all times.
That being said, the base and pro version get their nourishment from 4,500mAh and 4,820mAh batteries with support for 67W and 120W wired charging, respectively. In addition, they support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse.
On the photographic front, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have triple rear cameras signed by Leica. The big brother has a 50MP Sony IMX989 main sensor and 1-inch combined with 50MP ultra-wide angle lenses and 50MP telephoto lenses. The little brother of hers has a 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide lens and 10MP telephoto unit. On the front both have a very conventional 16MP sensor.
Then we have the younger brother of the family, which is actually a rebranded Xiaomi Civi 2 for the international market, so there are not many surprises here, except for the design, which for some reason was renewed to fit a little better with that of the Xiaomi 13 series.
Be that as it may, this affordable Xiaomi model exhibits a 6.55-inch AMOLED FullHD display with 120 Hz refresh and support for Dolby Vision. Unlike its first iteration, this one has a pill-shaped screen design with two front-facing cameras.
Inside it awaits a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, made with a 4 nm manufacturing process. The chipset includes a 2.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 (Kryo) core, three 2.36 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 cores, four 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, and an Adreno 662 graphics unit, not to mention that it also has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
