The presentation of the series Xiaomi 12 At the end of the year it was both revealing and intriguing, since a mobile that we swore would be present in the lineup has skipped the event, we are talking about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Some might dismiss the device rumors and dismiss them as just that, rumors; but it is that the evidence indicates otherwise, especially when considering that some important tipsters place their launch for the Chinese spring festival, which means after february 1, 2022.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra

As for the device itself, we haven’t talked about it as such so far, so now is as good a time as any to get to know it.

Its main selling point would be its improved photographic capabilities, betting on nothing more nor less than a LEICA camera. It is further presumed that the collaboration with this emblematic brand could be the reason behind the delay; Xiaomi would need additional time to fine-tune the details of the periscope super telephoto lens.

Supposedly the photographic setup of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra involves a 50MP Samsung GN5 main sensor, a secondary sensor of 48MP with 2x optical zoom, a 48MP lens with 5X zoom capability, and lastly, a 48MP sensor with 10x zoom.

Additionally, Gizmochina has made a leaked render of the protective case of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. In it we can appreciate the space set aside for the camera module, and as is evident, it does not look at all like the photographic module on board the rest of the devices that make up the Xiaomi 12 family.

In addition to the cameras, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to come with a 6.5-6.6-inch screen size and 2K resolution, similar to the 12 Pro model. We can also expect – with almost total security – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip as the nerve center and fast charging of 120W.
