Design and materials
Traditional design with a modern interior, this is the KK70 smartwatch. A smart watch that shows an aspect that moves away from the square concepts of current watches and that evokes the battery clock. Therefore, the outer chassis shows a stainless steel construction for superior resistance to wear and tear over time, as well as small everyday impacts. As it could not be missing, the entire ring of the dial shows the different time bands.
This KK70 is a model for a large wrist, with a 45 mm diameter sphere and a weight of 50 g. Taking the watch out of the box we discover its elegant brown strap, ideal for work and business meals. Although it is made of silicone, few would say it when checking the detail of the white thread. In addition, it includes another black strap with a more sporty cut, to use in sports activities and outdoor meetings.
The front of the KK70 deploys its weapons with a IPS screen, with a size of 1.39 inches and a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. Therefore, everything related to texts and graphics enjoy great sharpness and an attractive color. And outdoors? The screen does its job although it involves raising the brightness level to the maximum in direct sunlight. On the other side, we have the heart sensor and the magnetic charge.
Other characteristics of interest
We do not have to forget that it is a smartwatch, with direct interaction through its touch screen. However, it incorporates three action buttons. The first to turn on the screen, the second to enter the menu and the last to activate the available sports activities. In addition, the central button is rotary to navigate through the different pages.
Another aspect to highlight is the microphone and speaker built into the watch. Thanks to this, it is possible to receive calls by answering from the watch. The best hands-free while we are following our daily routine. It implements caller ID and volume regulator. We also have to mention that it is IP68 certified. Therefore, it is resistant to dust and suitable for immersion in sports activities.
Settings and menu of the sports smartwatch
As we can see, the KK70 smartwatch is prepared to be a faithful ally when it comes to executing daily tasks with a full range of possibilities. However, to make the most of its benefits it is necessary to link our smartphone with the app WearPro, available on the Play Store and App Store. The app records and stores all the data obtained with the watch via Bluetooth. It is available in our language, although with a translation that can be improved.
KK70 menu
First screen: phone, messages, calendar, sports, heart monitor, electrocardiogram
Second screen: pedometer, sleep, stopwatch, weather, calculator, phone search, UV index – atmospheric pressure, relaxation.
Third screen: vibration, dial style, settings, remote music player, messages, phone book, call history, pedometer.
Principal functions
Phone calls. As we have commented previously, one of its most interesting features is being able to answer and make calls from the smartwatch. Of course, it must be connected at all times to Bluetooth connectivity since it does not allow the installation of a NanoSIM card. Thanks to this link, it is possible to choose contacts from our phonebook and store a call history. Obviously, it includes a caller ID and loudspeaker volume control. And how about the quality of the calls? Indoors it behaves very well, but outdoors it will depend on the surrounding noises.
Notifications. The screen of the KK70 smartwatch shows us messages from messaging services such as WhatsApp, among other services. From the app, it gives us access to the apps to show on the clock, to get alerts only for the apps we want. These messages are stored in a notification drawer for later consultation.
Sport and health. It includes various sports activities with a sample of the data adapted to the sport. For example, we have walking, running, cycling, rope jumping, basketball, among others. The screen shows us a calorie count, distance traveled and other values. Unfortunately it lacks built-in GPS, so it is not possible to get the trajectory displayed on a map. On the other hand, it adds other functions such as massager, continuous heart monitor, sleep monitor and relaxation mode.
Battery and autonomy
Finally, the manufacturer indicates that the built-in battery has a 280 mAh capacity. That is, its autonomy reaches seven days with normal use. However, the figure depends on several factors such as connectivity or the level of brightness. In our tests, we have reached five days using sports activities. Charging is wireless with the accessory included in the box.
In conclusion, this KK70 smartwatch is a good complement to our day to day with the possibility of making calls from the watch. This doll companion provides a good number of functions and with great customization. By contrast, it does not include the addition of a GPS that allows us to record our sports routes.
