Design

In terms of design, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime is a aesthetically appealing device for the standards of its range. There’s a ribbed pattern on the back and a rectangular photo module inhabited by a single sensor (and an LED flash). For its part, the sides are flat, on the right we will find the power and volume buttons, which are perfectly accessible.

Realme Narzo 50i Prime - Design

Is a lightweight device for its size (182 grams) and is comfortable to hold. It lacks any form of IP rating, so forget about exposing it to water.

With that said, it is available in two color presentations: dark blue and mint green.

Screen

The display on this device is about a IPS panel with a diagonal of 6.5 inches and HD + resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels. There are no complaints regarding color reproduction or viewing angles, but it does err when it comes to brightness, as it is insufficient to display the image correctly when in sunlight.

Performance and features

The Realme Narzo 50i Prime is really a pleasant surprise in this section, with an unknown -but competent- Octa-core Unisoc T612 processor in combination with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via micro-SD). Similarly, it exists in a version with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

In general terms, the mobile delivers a good performance, being free of lag or hangs when using the applications on a daily basis and switching between them. You can even play casual titles with ease, such as Mobile Legends and Call of Duty Mobile, although with low graphics for games like the latter.

Realme Narzo 50i Prime - Features

We owe part of that fluidity to the manufacturer’s user interface, Realme UI R Edition, which is the equivalent of Android Go, but with more features. And speaking of Android, the interface operates on Android 11, which obviously is not currently the most recent version, and for that reason we have to lower some points.

Finally, it is feeding by a 5,000mAh battery with 10 watt load. Being a terminal with moderate performance and consumption, we can expect a average of 1.5 days of autonomy on a single charge.

cameras

Like all low-end smartphones, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime does not stand out for its photographic section and makes minimal effort in this area. Going into details, it has a single 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture And with a 5MP front sensor, nothing special.

If we had to describe the performance of the rear camera in a few words, we would say that it does its job decently as long as there is good lighting around. HDR mode convincingly improves results a bit and satisfactory, but in the case of photographs indoors or in low light, you can see that the camera does not capture colors naturally.

Camera

The front camera is not bad for only 5MP, and for quick selfies it’s more than adequate, but unfortunately the HDR mode doesn’t do it any favors under any circumstances, incurring the same problem as the rear camera when used indoors: poor color capture. Facial recognition is as accurate as you’d expect from a phone in this price range, which isn’t much.

For his part, night mode is perhaps the most disappointingwe do not recommend it at all due to the graininess that appears in the photographs.

connectivity

There is not much to say in this section, because after all it is a mobile 4G LTE with the typical standards of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPYes. However, before concluding there is an aspect that we must criticize, and it is the use of an outdated port Micro USB 2.0 instead of USB-C. As a consequence, we cannot expect fast charging on this device (2 hours or more). Fortunately, it does retain the classic 3.5mm jack.
