The public launch of Android 12 at the end of this 2021 is causing many mobile manufacturers to do the same with the renewal of their customization layers and platforms based on the creation of Google. Just as OnePlus started its tests with OxygenOS 12, Oppo just did the same with ColorOS 12.
In an official statement from the firm of Chinese origin, it has been indicated that its ColorOS 12 platform based on Android 12 will be one of the first to arrive on its current mobiles. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia already have a trial version on Oppo Find X3 Pro devices, while the rest of the users will have to wait only a few days to know more about it.
Oppo confirms a ColorOS 12 event
Basically the details of the global version of ColorOS 12 will be presented in an online event scheduled for October 11 at 11:00 a.m., at which time Oppo will show some of its news related to the customizable design, new functions and performance improvements, as well as the estimated time for its implementation.
With the idea of reaching as many users as possible, manufacturer’s initial estimates span up to more than 110 existing and upcoming devices, as well as a total of 150 million users around the world who already trust their models. Thus, it will be the fastest and most far-reaching ColorOS implementation in the brand’s history.
Finally, the announcement includes an important update policy that follows a similar trend seen, for example, by the now-defunct Android One program a few years ago, since in the Releases from 2019 onwards that correspond to major Find X1 series smartphones will secure a period of three Android updates, as well as regular security patch updates for four years for the Find X, Reno series, and three years for the A series.
