Design and screen
The Oppo Band Style has a simple and minimalist design that does not seek to reinvent the wheel. Your screen is covered with scratch resistant curved glass, while the back is made of polycarbonate. The main module weighs 10.3 grams without the straps, but even with them on it is very light, so we will easily get used to carrying it around.

Style Strap (left) and Sport Strap (right)
To our surprise, this Oppo bracelet ships with not one, but two removable straps. First of all, we have the sport strap, which, as its name indicates, is designed for practicing sports; Furthermore, it is made of TPU. Then we have the Style strap, which gives its name to the smart bracelet, obviously this one is more stylish and appropriate for day to day. It is characterized by the thin metal frame that surrounds the module. Be that as it may, both have a width of 14mm and an adjustable length of 130-205mm.
Speaking of the module, this is home to a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. Said panel is colourful, vibrant and extremely responsive, as well as staying viewable outdoors, although you may need to set the brightness to 100% for that. Naturally, it comes with several pre-installed watch faces, 5 to be precise, but from the companion app we can choose from more than 40.
Finally, the band has a 5ATM water resistance certificationso it is fully submersible (up to 50 meters) and suitable for swimming.
functions and features
The OPPO Band Style can keep track of our daily activity, heart rate, sleep quality, breathing, sports performance and also the level of oxygen in the blood. Naturally, we can access detailed information through a mobile application available for both iPhone and Android. In this case we are talking about HeyTapHealthwhich offers many options and metrics, but whose interface could use a redesign to improve its usability.
When it comes to heart rate measurement, we can choose to have the bracelet take our pulse every two or six minutes. It is an accurate measurement within what can be expected from such a device. For its part, the SpO2 monitor gives the option of monitoring the level of oxygen in the blood in intervals or continuously, which also extends to sleep. If we want to measure oxygen saturation manually, the option is there and it requires 15 to 30 seconds to do a quick scan.
Speaking of sleep tracking, the Oppo Band Style does not record REM sleepbut it does monitor afternoon naps and takes SpO2 levels into account for daytime sleep.
Sports and fitness enthusiasts will love knowing that this smart band can keep track of their 12 types of exercises and sports. To be specific, it supports outdoor running, indoor running, outdoor walking, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, elliptical, rowing, cricket, badminton, swimming, yoga and running to burn fat.
For the rest, it offers common and current functions in this type of product, such as mobile notifications and remote control of music and camera. It does not have a microphone and does not have a GPS chipso the interesting ends here.
How long does the battery last?
The OPPO Band Style is powered by a 100mAh battery that, in theory, guarantee 12 days duration. However, this is a very optimistic figure and estimated based on ideal conditions. In practice we can expect 8 days autonomy with reasonable usewhich means screen brightness set to 40%, screen timeout set to five seconds, Heart rate measurement interval set to two minutes, sleep tracking and SpO2 measurement enabled, over 100 notifications per day and 20 minutes of daily walking.
Similarly, more intense use will drain the battery even faster. As a point of reference, if we use the monitoring heart rate and SpO2 while sleeping and we keep a permanent connection with the smartphone, autonomy is reduced to 3 or 4 dayswhich is not bad.
Finally, the recharging time is only an hour and a half.
Availability and price of the OPPO Band Style
