Mobvoi adds a new member to its budget smartwatch lineup, and that new member is the TicWatch GTK, who takes all our attention in this opportunity. We can anticipate that it is a very affordable watch with an excellent autonomy of up to 10 days and a good repertoire of functions for health care and sports. With that said, let’s see what else it offers us.
This is the Mobvoi TicWatch GTK
Externally, the TicWatch GTK sports a 9.8mm thick metal case, which houses a 1.3 inch circular TFT display with 240 x 240 pixel resolution and full color. There are over 100 clock interfaces included with the device, so you are not short on customization options.
As is the standard with watches in this series, the TicWatch GTK has 5ATM water resistance, so it can be used for swimming and bathing.
The clock is driven by the operating system ColorOS Watch 2.0 and offers a handful of features for fitness life and health care, including real-time rhythm monitor, blood oxygen sensor (SpO2) and sleep monitor. In the same way, it is accompanied by 14 exercise modes, naturally there is the swimming mode to take advantage of that water resistance.
However, the saving grace that sets the TicWatch GTK apart from other watches in the same market segment is the exceptional range it exhibits. In this sense, the 180mAh battery promises to provide 7-10 days of normal use.
Availability and price
The TicWatch GTK It could be an excellent Christmas gift since its launch date coincides with this December 24, but that only applies to China for now, where its official price is 299 yuan, which at the exchange it would be 42 euros.
There is still no indication of an international launch, so we await more information to report.
