InnJoo F801, we tested this 3G Dual SIM tablet
InnJoo attended the last MWC17 in Barcelona with many new items in its catalog for the next few months as we collected in Gizlogic. Now it’s their turn to start “messing around” and have them go through the Gizlogic test and analysis bench in line. The first of this is the InnJoo F801 tablet, a device that presents a configuration adapted to all audiences with an 8-inch screen with HD resolution. Although what is really interesting is 3G connectivity to make calls or navigate through mobile data from the tablet itself. We tell you all the features of this tablet in our analysis and video-analysis.
Design and materials
The InnJoo F801 tablet has been one of the latest products presented within the framework of MWC17. We attended his presentation to learn about his InnJoo 4 and we also had the opportunity to meet this new tablet. The dimensions of the tablet are 124 x 208 x 9.6 thick and weighing only 358 g, a lightweight product to carry comfortably with us. However, the build quality is very robust thanks to the use of a wise choice of materials. The back is made of metal with a polish that is pleasant to the touch and has a good grip, in addition to margins at both ends made of polycarbonate for optimal 3G reception as in smartphones.
InnJoo F801 has a display with 8 inches diagonal and a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The IPS panel displays the image in vivid colors and with a wide viewing angle to share the tablet with people around us. On the front we do not have physical buttons but these are integrated into the screen itself from Android. Yes we can observe the placement of a headset to make 3G phone calls with the tablet, later we will tell the experience of use. A small hole houses the front camera for video conferencing with a resolution of 0.3 MP and a proximity sensor. Therefore, it lacks a notification LED and a light sensor.
The polycarbonate areas on the back are also responsible for house the SIM and microSD card slots to expand removable storage. Behind the metallic laminate with the InnJoo silkscreen is the integrated 3,500 mAh battery for a fairly tight autonomy but enough for sporadic use. Not missing one rear camera with a resolution of 2 MP and a speaker for our multimedia content.
Connections are limited to a MicroUSB connector for charging and OTG connectivity to add storage units or peripherals such as a mouse. The rest of the buttons are the usual ones in these devices such as the volume control, unlocking the screen and a reset button to force a restart on the computer. As for the accessories included in the case, we find a 5V / 2A power adapter, MicroUSB cable, manuals and headphones to listen to the FM radio or videos on YouTube.

InnJoo F801 Tablet Performance
InnJoo F801 is a balanced 3G tablet at the hardware level although with a modest configuration limited by the price and the range to which it belongs. Inside we have a Spreadtrum SC77 SoC, a 4-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and Mali-400 GPU. The chipset works well for most uses such as web browsing, apps, and streaming video content. Although the fluidity between tools and windows is somewhat adjusted by the 1 GB RAM. It is not a tablet with high technical performance but is indicated for a simple and relaxed use of the device.
Something similar happens with games, with total fluidity in those 2D and some lag problems in those 3D with open environments or high polygonal load. The Storage memory is 8GB expandable by using a microSD card up to 32GB for apps or content. The operating system is Android 5.1 on a very clean ROM with just a couple of apps and some games that can be uninstalled. The tablet is ready to receive updates via OTA from the manufacturer, although at the moment we do not know if it will make the move to Android 6.0.
Screen and sound
InnJoo F801 offers performance both for those looking for a portable device for work and multimedia entertainment. Incorporates a panel IPS LCD with a diagonal of 8 inches, an unusual measure but that perfectly covers both uses. The resolution is 1,280 x 800 pixels, although it is not FHD it offers a pixel density of 188 dpi. We recognize that it is not the best screen on the market, for the price of the device we cannot expect much more, and we have not had any problem even to read PDFs or videos on YouTube. Outdoors, the brightness level falters like many other models on the market, forcing the brightness to be raised to maximum levels.
The sound of the InnJoo F801 tablet is simply correct. He speaker It is located on the back of the device and meets the obvious limitations mentioned above. The InnJoo 3G Dual SIM tablet includes an FM radio tuner with use of the headphones as an antenna.
Cameras, connectivity and autonomy
The photographic section is usually a great forgotten by brands. In fact, it is difficult to see tablets with sensors that exceed 5 MP for main cameras. In this case we have a 2 MP camera for occasional use and that will allow us to get out of trouble without resorting to our smartphone. It will also be especially useful for capturing paper documentation and having a digital version on our computer for future use. The front camera has a 0.3 MP sensor for low resolution video calls.
The connectivity of the InnJoo F801 tablet offers two slots for Micro SIM cards in Dual SIM configuration on 3G networks. In this way, it is possible to make phone calls from the device itself and also have the internet without the need for a smartphone as a WiFi access point; check your e-mail or enjoy the best entertainment anywhere. The Micro USB connector offers us the charging of the device but also the connection with storage units or peripherals thanks to its OTG connectivity. It is also possible to link our InnJoo tablet with other devices via Bluetooth 4.0 as well as enjoying the WiFi 802.11 b / g / n connection.
And the autonomy of the InnJoo 3G Dual SIM tablet? The 3,500 mAh battery offers a very limited autonomy, this is undeniable. Despite that, it offers a performance of about 3 or 4 hours of screen and a standby that exceeds the day. For this reason, the InnJoo F801 tablet is a companion for occasional information inquiries or internet searches. For the price of the device we cannot aspire to much more, so the equipment is indicated for these consumers.
In short, the InnJoo F801 tablet will delight those who are looking for a tablet for sporadic consultations on the network, use of Android apps such as Maps thanks to its GPS, mail consultation with document reading or entertainment via streaming from WiFi or 3G. A device aimed at an undemanding consumer who is looking for a correct performance at a low price in a quality brand.
For this reason, we awarded the InnJoo F801 tablet with the Gizlogic Silver Award for offering performance adjusted to the most basic needs of any user but with the interesting addition of 3G connectivity for telephone calls or data consumption, all at a price adapted to all budgets.
InnJoo F801 is available from Amazon at a surprising price in all its variants, in black color which is the one that appears in our analysis, an attractive Golden colour and the irresistible silver.
