It’s that time of the year again, that time when it’s time to switch to summer time and thereby advance one hour to adapt to the European time zone. Fortunately for us, our mobile should make the time change automatically, that is assuming that we have it configured in such a way. In the case of being Android users, we have to go to Settings > System > Date and Time. Once there we activate the Toogle that says Set Automatically or Automatic Date and Hourshowever you want it to say on our device.

By activating this option we are basically telling the mobile to get the updated Internet time. That said, it is important that we verify that when activating this option the time zone that is automatically established coincides with the one in which we are. In my case it is GMT+1 Central European Standard Time.

The latter may sound like a huge no-brainer; but if we are using a VPN to change the country from which we are connecting to the Internet, you can expect that the time zone of the hypothetical country or region selected in the VPN will be used.

What we have to do on iPhone is practically the same, the difference is that we will find the option indicated in Settings > General > Date and time. The option we are looking for goes by the name of auto adjustand that’s the one that should be on in case it’s not already on.

It is worth remembering that the time change will take effect at dawn from Saturday to Sunday, March 26, 2023. At that time, 2:00 a.m. will become 3:00 a.m. (Spanish peninsular time).
