Popular manufacturer Honor is pleased to announce the launch of the Honor Magic V, a folding mobile that will not leave anyone indifferent. This one bases its design on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, but takes a huge leap forward in innovative folding smartphone design. In addition to a novel hinge design, the Honor Magic V also incorporates the latest in mobile technology and high-end features; starting with the chip Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 1.

“We are delighted to launch our first foldable 5G flagship, the HONOR Magic V, demonstrating our expertise and innovation in system design and our commitment to always deliver the best-in-class user experience.” Said George Zhao, CEO of HONOR.

Honor Magic V stands out for its innovative drop hinge with 213 parts

The main attraction of the Honor Magic V and any folding mobile is, of course, the screen, and here we come across a 6.45-inch AMOLED screen, QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,080 pixels), 120Hz, HDR10 + compatibility, 1,000 nits brightness and 44 ° curvature. But this is just the external screen that we find when the mobile is folded, since when it is unfolded it transforms into a completely different beast.

In this sense, the Honor Magic V opens like a book to show us a 7.9-inch ultra-wide screen with 10: 9 aspect ratio, resolution of 2,272 x 1,984 pixels and refresh rate of 90Hz. Its big bet is the 213-part drop hinge, which guarantees a smooth fold and free of obvious wrinkles that compromise the finish of the panel.

With that said, the terminal also exhibits an exquisite finish, being constructed of high-strength titanium alloy, liquid zirconium metals, and high-strength carbon fibers that reduce the density of the device. The device can also boast of being thin and light, we are talking about 6.7 millimeters thick and weighing 239 grams.

According to the manufacturer, the folding system of hinge has a service life of up to 200,000 folds. This equates to 110 openings and closings per day for 5 years, not bad. It is also worth mentioning the presence of a side fingerprint reader and stereo speakers with DTS X sound.
