A Pocket Mini PC?
The point of any self-respecting Mini PC is, of course, to be compact and save space, and in this regard the GEEKOM MiniAir 11 more than delivers. Going into details, its polycarbonate body with a polished black finish has dimensions of 117 x 112 x 34.2mm, which makes it one of the smallest Mini PCs that we can buy.
This computer equipment not only fits in the palm of your hand, it also fits in your pocket and is featherweight. It is not necessarily a product that we are going to take with us everywhere, but if we want it, we can.
The downside is that the polished plastic cover is prone to scratching and it takes a bit of time to access the internal hardware as there’s a lot to remove.
With that said, the Mini PC has 100x100mm VESA mount holes under rubber mounts , which is something that comes in handy for a product like this, as it makes it easy for us to mount it in different places or devices.
hardware and features
The GEEKOM MiniAir 11 is not a PC that stands out for its performance, but it has what it takes to deal with day-to-day tasks decently. In this order of ideas, inside it has a quad-core Intel Celeron N5095 CPU at 2.0Ghz (Turbo at 2.90Ghz), which comes in the company of 8GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 256GB of M. two.
It is important to note that we can expand the RAM memory up to 32GB and also change the SSD for one with a higher capacity (SATA/PCIe).
For its part, the operating system on duty is Windows 11 Pro 64-bit.
With all that in mind, the combination of hardware we have here is designed to handle basic computing tasks, such as office automation, web browsing, and entertainment. Its processor is low-performance and prioritizes maintaining low power consumption and generating little heat, which is why its TDP is so low (15W).
It should be noted that its GPU handles [email protected] video output without any problem , so it could be a good HTPC option to enjoy movies, series and even games via streaming. Gaming natively is ruled out.
connectivity
At the connectivity level, the GEEKOM MiniAir 11 is very well equipped and there are enough options to connect as many peripherals as we need. On the wireless front Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.0 await us , while when it comes to ports the list is much longer. Going into details, on the front panel we will get the following interfaces:
- USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1
- USB 3.2 Type-A Gen2
- 3.5mm jack
For its part, the rear panel has these ports:
- Mini-DisplayPort
- HDMI
- RJ-45
- USB 3.2 Type-A Gen1 x 2
- USB Type-C Gen2
- pocket size
- very affordable price
- We can expand the RAM and SSD
- Many connectivity options
- silent
- Wi-Fi is not AX
- Underperforming processor
