“For nearly 100 years, our company has defined and redefined entertainment by leveraging technology to bring stories to life in deeper, more impactful ways… This is the so-called metaverse, which I believe is the next great frontier of storytelling and the place perfect for pursuing our strategic pillars of storytelling excellence, innovation and audience focus.”

For those who have followed the movements of the Disney house, this does not come as a surprise. The CEO of the company stated in November of last year the intentions of the company getting involved in the Metaverse. While there aren’t any concrete details yet, it’s clear that Disney has the heavy artillery when it comes to franchises, streaming services, and theme parks, which could give it some serious power in the Metaverse.
