Appearances do matter

The CENAVA PA156 puts several of its attribute points into looks, so it ends up looking quite conspicuous in this price range. In this sense, it has a design that some could mistakenly label as a gamer, something that it clearly is not.

We can praise how slim and light it is. We are talking about a body with measures 36.00 x 23.5 x 1.80cm and weight 1.68KG, something that is possible due to the absence of a fan. Unfortunately most of the body has a plastic finish, so the praise stops here.

CENAVA PA156 - Keyboard

In another idea, it has a full-size keyboard with red backlight, which combined with the black finish gives it that gamer vibe we talked about. With that said, the keys are 20x20mm in size and have a 0.5mm pitch.

The trackpad is also a reason for attention, because not content with offering us quick actions with gestures, it includes a fingerprint reader in the upper left corner, which speeds up the process of verifying our identity and logging in.

Screen

The screen is another major success, mainly due to the fact that it makes good use of the front surface, 95% of it to be precise. In addition, it has extremely thin bezels (4.2mm) that complement the finish. For the rest, it is a conventional IPS panel with a diagonal of 15.6 inches and 1080p FHD resolution but for the price we can’t complain.

hardware and features

The CENAVA PA156 is not a powerful notebook despite its extravagant design. Going into details, it is equipped with a humble processor Intel Celeron J4125 quad core 2.7Ghz. This chip is accompanied by an integrated Intel HD 600 GPU, 12/16GB of RAM and storage 128GB M.2 SSD. There is an additional 2.5” SATA slot, which can be used to make up for a lack of storage.

Processor

The set is powered by a 4,000mAh battery / 7.4 V that barely offers a couple of hours of use.

At first glance it is obvious that the CPU and GPU combo can only offer a basic computing experience geared towards office programs, multimedia consumption, light photo/video editing and Indie or low-requirement games. If we stick to those usage scenarios, the experience will be acceptable, and that’s all we can expect in this price range.

CENAVA PA156 - Characteristics

Changing the subject, the operating system is, to no one’s surprise, Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

If you are looking for a laptop for the same price that focuses its entire offer on performance, it may be better for you to meet the Dinner F158G.

connectivity

In terms of wireless connectivity, the equipment supports Dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Meanwhile, on the wireline front it has two USB Type-A ports a 3.5mm audio combo, Micro-HDMI output and SD-slot.
