BMAX i10 plus, affordable tablets of this caliber there are few

The BMAX i10plus It is an entry-level tablet with very formidable features, which delivers a quality and level of performance that we do not see every day in this price range. To begin with, it mounts a 10.1-inch FHD screen in the company of a UNISCO Tiger T618 chip, all powered by a 6,000mAh battery that promises a long usage time. As if that were not enough, it offers 4G LTE connectivity through its dual slot and operates with Android 10 as the operating system, all this and more for a price that is easily below 200 euros.

With that said, those looking for something even cheaper will surely find BMAX MaxPad I9 Plus an excellent entry-level alternative.

The affordable range also deserves quality designs

The BMAX i10 plus is a tablet with a solid presentation, and we say it not only in aesthetic terms, but also in terms of elaboration, since it has a robust aluminum body with a plastic strip at the top that acts as an antenna. The tablet feels solid in the hand and does not give up a slim and slim body (8.9mm).

Looking at it carefully we will notice that almost all the physical interfaces are condensed on the left edge. By interfaces we mean the USB port (Type C) and SIM/Micro-SD card slot. Similarly, this side is home to the volume keys, the power button, a microphone, and a hole with a reset button.

On the upper edge we will get just one 3.5mm jack audio port, while in the lower one the stereo speakers of the tablet are located, which fulfill their function quite well, except for one complaint, and that is that the sound of each speaker is filtered through the holes of the opposite one, which affects a little the perception of stereo sound.

In another order of ideas, the screen is a 10.1-inch size IPS panel and 16:10 aspect ratio, resulting in a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The quality of the panel is acceptable for the price range we are dealing with, it is responsive, it has good representation of colors and viewing angles, unfortunately we cannot say that it looks very modern, since it has quite thick bezels on all 4 sides.

That said, the screen allows us to take advantage of split-screen mode and those extra inches, so generally our impressions of it are positive.

hardware and features

At the hardware level, the BMAX i10 plus is powered by a UNISOC Tiger T618 chipwhich is composed of a 2.0Ghz octa-core chip in the company of 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Naturally, we can expand the latter via the available Micro-SD slot up to 256GB, but that means sacrificing a SIM slot, since it’s shared.

When it comes to performance, the BMAX i10 plus packs a pretty decent package. According to the manufacturer, it obtains more than 210,000 points in AnTuTu, but that is a synthetic benchmark and in the end we should only give importance to performance in the real world, and in this aspect we can say that it behaves quite well, offering a user experience fluid in the applications and tasks of the day to day.

BMAX i10 plus - Performance

To top it off, it can decently handle demanding games like Genshin Impact and Call of Duty Mobile with medium graphics, native resolution and at least 30FPS, which is great coming from a model in this range.

In another vein, the tablet is powered by a 6,000mAh battery that yields up to 6 hours in continuous video playback (via streaming), so it performs quite well in the autonomy section. However, we must warn that it takes its time to recharge, since the charging power is only 10W.

The current operating system is Android 10, which, as you may well know, is not the most recent version and to top it off, it does not have a guaranteed update to any higher version, which is a shame considering that the BMAX MaxPad I9 Plus includes Android 11.

Lastly, you have a 5MP rear and 2MP front cameraboth suffer from poor quality, but it was to be expected.

connectivity

An indisputable advantage of the BMAX i10 plus is the fact that It has 4G connectivity with dual SIM option, which allows us to use it as if it were a mobile phone to call or surf the Internet with mobile data. Similarly, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 to pair peripherals.

On the wired front, you only have two options that we mentioned before (USB-C and 3.5m Jack), as well as a slot for Micro-SD+SIM or SIM+SIM.
