Asus Zenpad 3S 8.0 shows its features at Computex 2017

In the past IFA 2016, Asus presented us with its latest Asus Zenpad 3S 10. Now, almost nine months later, it once again takes advantage of the media power of an event of these characteristics, specifically the Computex 2017, to show us the renewed Asus Zenpad 3S 8.0.

Of course, at the moment there has not been an official presentation by the company, so all the information available is only that shown in the very brief specification sheet that accompanies the device at the company’s stand in Taipei.

Asus Zenpad 3S 8.0 Features

This “new” Asus Zenpad 3S 8.0 It is an evolution of the Asus Zenpad 3 8.0. This tablet from the Taiwanese manufacturer is part of the segment of the upper-middle range of tablets, its screen being one of the main positive points of the device. With a size of 7.9 inch, flaunts technology VisualMaster and a resolution 2K, all in a unibody body of barely 6.9 mm thick.

If we go inside, we find a Snapdragon 652, a slight evolution with respect to the processor incorporated in the Zenpad 3 8.0 that we mounted a 650, and that we will have available in two variants: 3 GB of RAM + 32 GB of storage or 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage. Another improvement over the previous model is the chosen version of Android. In the model that has appeared by Computex, we already see the software updated to Android 7.1.1 Nougat, yes, with the customization layer ZenUI 3.5 how could it be less.

Finally, we find a battery of 4,680 mAh and two cameras with an acceptable quality (taking into account that it is one of the sections that lacks the most in the segment of tablets): 13 MP with f / 2.0 aperture and LED flash behind him, and 5 MP with PixelMaster technology on the front.

Availability and price of the Asus Zenpad 3S 8.0

Asus has not yet made a public statement about this model, it does not even appear on its official website nor has it sent any type of statement to the media at the time of writing this article, so we only have the information that it has left in its Computex 2017 stand. There is not yet release date or price, but we expect it to cost quite similar to its predecessor (around 300 euros). In any case, there are not too significant differences between these models. Is it worth betting on it? If it is a new purchase, yes, but it will not be worth it to renew your tablet if the previous model still works well for you.
