ASUS VivoWatch 5 AERO: new wearable focused on health

ASUS has just introduced its new ASUS VivoWatch 5 AERO, a wearable that has a clear focus on health and that stands out for being the first bracelet on the market that has certain sensors for more precise measurements. We will know all its details, below.

Technical characteristics of the ASUS VivoWatch 5 AERO

This ASUS VivoWatch 5 AERO arrives with dimensions of 48.9 x 19.16 x 13.2mm and a weight of just 26 grams. Its screen is framed within these measures, barely 0.96 inches, so that we have a light and pleasant bracelet on the wrist. This panel comes with technology PMOLED. At the moment (and without official confirmation from the manufacturer that this is going to change), there is only one model available, specifically in silver and with a 16 mm silicone strap.

In addition, in its design we can also highlight that it has been endowed with a 5 ATM resistance, so you can swim or shower with it without any problem (it supports up to 50 meters deep). For its part, its battery gives us an autonomy of up to 7 days. And the link with our smartphone, where all the data will be collected, is supported by Bluetooth 4.2. It also has GPS.

We now turn to the most innovative part of this device and we find ourselves with specific sensors (electrocardiogram and photoplethysmogram) that allow us to measure the pulse or SpO2 just by placing our finger on the screen. It can also monitor sound quality, even snoring at night, plus, of course, basic physical activity data like daily steps. All these data are collected in the ASUS HealthConnect app.

Availability and price

If you want to have the most innovative wearable of the moment on your wrist, you can get it for a price of 129 euro. That’s it available in Spain.

If you want to compare it with another model, here we talk about the fitbit inspire 3.
