In the same way, the company presented the laptops 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.
Apple Mac mini M2 and M2 Pro
Returning to the main topic, Apple promises a beastly performance from the M2 and M2 Pro chips and in which higher speed, unified memory and an incredible value for money stand out. But, let’s go by part, starting with the Mini M2 model that comes with an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. Additionally, it is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, giving you Allows you to connect up to two monitors.
Regarding the mini M2 Pro the data varies significantly, for example, this design comes with a 12-core CPU and a 19-core GPU which clearly duplicates what is offered by the most basic model.
The same happens with the Thunderbolt ports, which here are four, which enables it to connect up to three monitors or one 8k depending on preference. In both models they coincide two USB-A ports, a single HDMI port and an Ethernet port with a capacity of 10 GB. Added to this is the connectivity Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide marketing, spoke highly of both chips, especially highlighting the excellent value for money and adding the following:
“With the incredible possibilities and variety of connection options in its compact design, Mac mini is used in many places and in many different ways. Today we are happy to go one step further with the M2 and M2 Pro chips.”
In short, the Mac mini M2 and M2 Pro are noticeably more powerful and versatile than their previous versions, which tends to justify the investment.
Availability and price
Officially, both the new Apple Mac Mini M2 and the Mini M2 Pro can now be reserved at the Apple Storehowever, deliveries begin from January 24. Regarding the prices, the M2 goes on the market for 719 euros and the M2 Pro will be sold at 1,569 euros.
